Teradata Parallel Transporter Tips and Techniques
Teradata Parallel Transporter (TPT) is an object-oriented client application that provides scalable, high-speed, parallel data Extraction, Loading and Updating. These capabilities can be extended with customizations or with third-party products. Teradata PT uses and expands on the functionality of the traditional Teradata extract and load utilities (FastLoad, MultiLoad, FastExport, and TPump). This presentation will focus on batch and active loading techniques and real-world examples of how TPT has applied its parallelization and scalability features to address loading challenges.
