Teradata Parallel Transporter (TPT) provides a comprehensive set of features for loading data warehouses.

These features can be divided into the following categories:

  • Scalability and parallelism
  • Usability
  • Flexibility
  • Restartability
  • Job control and monitoring

Through these features, TPT addresses many problems frequently encountered when loading data to the data warehouse. Over the years a great deal of information has been collected about the factors that lead to the successful implementation of TPT in production environments.
