Hello,

I thought this was covered earlier but could not find in the archives.

This article will introduce the new features and UI enhancements that have been added to Teradata SQL Assistant 13.11. The focus of this release is on usability and Section 508 conformance.

This article assumes that you are already familiar with the features in SQL Assistant 13.10 Edition 2. If not, you may wish to read the following articles first:

Hi Fellow Teradata Developer,

I have a question on how to set Ansi mode on Teradata SQL assistant, I hope you can Shed some light on this.
When I'm working on BTEQ, on the same Database, I run the command .SET TRANSACTION MODE ANSI, and everything seems to work properly. So It's not an issue related with the Database.

I can export some fairly large queries in SQL Assistant JAVA edition, but there appears to be a soft limit somewhere around 20 Meg where it just cuts off and creates an empty file. The results appear to be accurate, the export unwilling.

When we have a SQL statement all on one line, it works fine, but when I add line breaks (for readability) or I import SQL with line breaks, it will throw the following:

[Teradata Database] [TeraJDBC 13.00.00.20] [Error 3706] [SQLState 42000] Syntax error: expected something between the beginning of the request and the 'from' keyword.

HOw could I take an average of two values by arranging the data in ascending order using SQL. For example

For the Col "Var1" with data

TrackId Var1
1 1.2
2 1.1
3 1.5
4 1.6
5 1.3

Could anyone please help me with the Teradata SQL query to "SELECT" all the column name from of a table created into a database which is created in the DBC from example database name: Demo and table name:Temp1.

Teradata SQL Assistant Java Edition release 13.01 is now available for download. SQLA JE provides an information discovery tool for retrieving and displaying data from your Teradata Database systems. It can be run on multiple operating system platforms, such as Windows, Linux, and Mac OSX.

The column headings/titles revert to "A", "B", "C" whenever I begin a query with a comment (for documentation purposes) or perform a join in a query. However, if I remove the leading comment and/or join, the proper titles appear in my answerset.

Hi All,

What version of the Teradata utilities (SQL Assistant, Teradata Administrator, ODBC drivers) will work with a laptop that has Windows 7 installed? Where can I find the correct download site for this?

Thanks!

Paul

Hi,

I'm running Win7 64bit and am connected to a v6.2 Teradata db in SQL Assistant 13.0, however none of the Views or Tables are showing up in the Data Source Explorer. I can query the Views just fine; just can't see them in the tree view.

Any thoughts/suggestions?

Thanks in advance!
