0 - 3 of 3 tags for fallback table

can anyone tell me if I can affect on tptstream
that the work or error  tables could be created as NO FALLBACK?
Currently in the version tptstream1500 (
the work tables are always created as FALLBACK.
We run with TD 15.00 and tptstream1500-
see image
Thanks in advance

Tables with fallback protection ensures that copy of each row is available on fallback AMPs in the same CLUSTER. I have few questions on this.
1) How do i identify that what all AMPs are the part of same cluster.
2) Is there any console utility in teradata to check the AMPs which are grouped together?

Hi All,

I have read in SQL Reference - Data Manipulation Statements that

UPDATE Processing Time for an UPDATE operation is longer under the following conditions:
"When the FALLBACK option is specified for the table, because the rows in the secondary copy of the table must also be updated"

In my process I am loading data into intermediate staging table and then performing various update on that... and at last I m renaming table to final table to use updated data in another process.
