Hi guys,
I'm relativley new to this so please bare with me.  I'm trying to count the number of days a filed has a value under 200. Between two dates.  i.e.
For accounts in the last 180 days,

I am trying to do the following task with dates in teradata.
1) Get The date for the end of the month.

add_months(date, 1) - Extract(Day From Date),

2) Then add 11 months to that date (which I am going to use as the end data for a between dates condiditon in the where statement).

Hi there! this is my first post so hopefully I get it right.
Firsty this is work related so I cannot upload any dataset as it pertains to sensitive material. The case is that in the data base there is an application date, completion date and sanctioning date for each application and at the moment these dates are used to compute

I currently have an SQL code which determines the most recent time that an item was made serviceable.

What I'm now trying to do is to find the first date in which a notification was raised against that item that occured after the serviceable date, and then count the number of days in between.

For example:

I'm finding an issue I'm having with a Fastload job and a text file with pretty standard dates extremely maddening, and I am sure V12/V13 has changed Fastload's behaviour in some way, as I'm sure what I am trying to do was not this difficult before.

Consider a few rows of the tab-delimited text file:

I am currently working on a requirement that deals with various effective spans for records. The final result should show overall effective spans per CUSTOMER_ID. However, date entries can be split up over multiple entries and locations:

ABC 123 100B 01/01/2010 03/15/2010
ABC 142 100C 03/01/2010 04/30/2010
ABC 301 300A 06/01/2010 08/15/2010
ABC 425 400B 06/15/2010 06/30/2010
ABC 259 300C 07/15/2010 12/31/2010
ABC 450 400C 10/01/2010 03/01/2011

The PERIOD data type was introduced in Teradata 13.0. This follow-on article builds on the first article (Exploring Teradata 13's PERIOD Data Type) and will again make heavy use of examples, but this time we will dig into the functions that are part of this new feature set.

If you have not read the first article, consider doing that now and then returning here. The examples here will use the tables introduced in the first article and add a few more.

I'm trying to create a monthly query in BOXI running off of a Teradata database. The query will choose the first day of the 5th month back and the last day of the current month. I tried using the DATEADD function but it did not work. How can I do that in Teradata SQL? Is there an equivalent?

I need to rollup and report data by week, with the week being defined as Sun through Saturday and identified as the Saturday-date. Does Teradata SQL have any functions that could facilitate this?
