Hi,
We have a view (below is the ddl) (view name is a)

REPLACE VIEW test.a  AS LOCK ROW FOR ACCESS

SELECT * FROM test.b;

and below is the ddl fro table b (from where view is created)

CREATE MULTISET VOLATILE TABLE test.b,NO FALLBACK ,

     CHECKSUM = DEFAULT,

select calendar_date as DATEO from sys_calendar.CALENDAR
where calendar_date between ?  and cast(? as date)+31
order by calendar_date

Hi All!
We can not create a table adding a column DATE that has lenght(8) using FORMAT (YYYYMMDD) and default value '00010101'.
Nir 20010101 nor 20000101 default values are not working.
currently We are running the DDL USING:
FEC_INFORMACION        DATE           FORMAT 'YYYYMMDD' NOT NULL DEFAULT DATE '0001-01-01'

I have a file I am loading to a table in my database via TPT. Everything is working properly, however I am dropping records where the date format is m/d/yyyy (as opposed to mm/dd/yyyy). Is there a way, in the insert statement in APPLY to convert the field on the fly via CASE, CAST, or some string manipulation?

I have a date column called reporting period date and I only want to pull data from this table where reporting period date = Q1, Q2, etc...
How would I format my reporting period date so that it represents a Quarter?

Input file:

num1|num2|date3|time4

4449343|5-4634-36-|20121005|11:49:36

107779487|8213728|20121005|01:59:25

280134888|6851396|20121005|00:38:00

129383470|8441860|20121005|18:40:53

#VALUE!|8356435|20121005|00:05:01

124487390|8622650|20121005|00:00:01

My database is a Teradata version 13.00.01.19
I retrieve data with a MS Excel v2003 file (using MS Query)
Before to do that, I installed "the tdodbc__windows_i386.13.10.00.05" products on my desktop : Teradata Client 13.10, Teradata 13.10.00.05 ODBC driver. I created a System DSN etc.

I'm finding an issue I'm having with a Fastload job and a text file with pretty standard dates extremely maddening, and I am sure V12/V13 has changed Fastload's behaviour in some way, as I'm sure what I am trying to do was not this difficult before.

Consider a few rows of the tab-delimited text file:

I am using V12 version I want export the data in dd/mm/yyyy format.

Expect the dates in format of :

04/20/2008

01/01/2008

I am getting result in format
4/20/2008
1/1/2008

Is there way to get results as desired format??
