Copying User data from one viewpoint server to another

We are installing a new 13.0.3 server, wondered if anyone out there has got a handy script for migrating the user data over from one server to another? Don't really want to key the 100's of users back in!

I would suggest restoring the backup of your td_portal and lportal databases onto the new Viewpoint server. The instructions for performing the restore are in the Teradata Viewpoint Configuration Guide under the section "Restore a Teradata Viewpoint Database". You would want to copy the backup files from the old server to the new one, and run the "pg_restore" command on the new server.

This would only be an advisable solution if both servers are running the exact same version of Viewpoint, and if you don't mind blowing away whatever user data is already on the new Viewpoint server. This will migrate all of your security data, including users, roles, permissions, and user preferences.

We will look to improve on migration operations in future Viewpoint releases.
