I believe we will need a bit more information than what you are providing.

Are you using the Wizard?

Are you using script-based TPT?

If script-based, can you send the send?

What do you mean by "JDBC connection"?

Pretty hard to help with so little information.

I encountered this error too. I'm using the TPT wizard. When creating a new job, after choosing the option 4 (Oracle Table) I encounter this jdbc error:

There was an error initializing the driver usage.

The class oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver was not found.

The environment variable ORACLE_HOME might not be setup properly.

I am using oracle 11g enterprise edition  (also tried Oracle XE) and I can connect to these database successfully. I want to try TPT to export the data from oracle to teradata. Appreciate any info about this.

I know that you would like to use the Wizard to create the script for you.

What version of TPT are you using?

I would like for people to move away from the Wizard. It will be de-supported one day (as soon as we can develop a suitable replacement).

We have MANY people doing what you want, and they generate scripts by hand (or through some application).

I am still trying to get an answer to you about this problem.

Writing scripts by hand is pretty easy to do.
