saving vprocmanager output

Hi, can we save vprocmanager output into some flat file (Unix)? In other words, is this possible to run vprocmanager in batch mode?Alok Agrawal

Of course. Just execute it as a shell command. You can redirect stdin/stdout and/or execute it from inside a shell script. In Linux: /usr/tdbms/bin/vprocmanagerIn MP-RAS: /tpasw/bin/vprocmanagerIn Windows, use the "Teradata Command Prompt" shell.

Yes, we can, but it runs in a interqactive fashion. Like you execute/tpasw/bin/vprocmanager from MP-RAS shell and it waits for your input command.however when you give "vprocmanager -s" it gives the 3 line system status withour asking any further command. I wanted a detailed system status, as it gives in interactive mode, without going into the interactive mode.

Vprocmanager reads commands from stdin. Did you try redirecting stdin to a file?
