Datastage 8.01 running with Teradata 14.10.

I know it's not cerified, but has anyone found themselves here, or know of a reason it shouldn' t be tried?

Hi,

Can you please elaborate more on the concerns.

I think you can use InfoSphere Information Server.

Yes, I was a little vague.
We are currently on TD 13.10 . We want to upgrade to 14.10 but DS is still at 8.01 and will be for a for the forseeable future.
I'm just looking for some input as to problems we may encounter, or is it even worth the risk?

I think like other ETL tools like I used to work before, they keep upgrading and no big hiccups. Patches and some miscellaneous stuffs are are always , almost inescapeable. However, the release documents from vendors are there in place.
Good luck,

Running the same design shouldn't be an issue .... but in case you decide to make a change in the design .... like e.g. start using TPT from DataStage and run into some trouble, then its an issue.

Similarly, getting a PDO from DS is kind of tricky and it can run you into issues.

Having said that, I have recently worked with DS 8 with Teradata 14 .... it worked like a charm.
