We faced this issue on AIX, the issue ocuurs due to incorrect settings and sequence of environment variables.
Follow the environment variables instructions in the installation of TTU. Otherwise, uninstall all the TTU, remove all the relevant environment variables and then re-install.

This problem can be happen when uncompatible TTU components co-exist on client laptop.
Even if TeraGSS client package version 15.10.01 or higher is installed on a client,
BTEQ version 15.10.00 does not recognize that TeraGSS client package is properly installed.
Please try uninstall all the TTU and reinstall with compatible TTU components.
If you installing individual TTU products, they must be installed in the following order.
1. Teradata GSS Client (teragss)
2. Shared ICU Libraries for Teradata (tdicu)
3. Teradata Wallet
4. Teradata Call-Level Interface version 2 (cliv2)
5. Teradata Data Connector API (piom)
6. Any other products (e.g BTEQ)
