TCRM Legends

I got existing Legend which is used for customer age from customer table, however i need to use same legend incorporating customer age from a table called target_customers. Therefore when campaigns are build user will have choice either to select customer age from customer table or target_customers or bothI could not find how to use multiple source or tables for legends. Could you please help me in this matter.AP

I don't think you can. Metadata only allows you to choose one table. You'll need to create 2 separate legends- one based on one source, and the other based on another source, and then name them appropriately so the users can infer what source they're getting. Preferrably, they'll start off with the same naming structure- that way, they'll be grouped together in the legend drop down, and it will be readily apparent to the users what their options are.

Thanks Tuvix!! for confirming. I tried to put second table as source in table tab but it didnt work. The only possible solution i can see is that create a view combining both tables and use as a source. Hope this works, i will try it tomorrowAP

Actually, that'll work also. We have all our legends based on views. Metadata will see the view as a single source. But...you might be in the same boat at the next step, because you can only select a single column to base the legend definition on. You'd have to somehow get all the values from both tables into a single field.

ok...I lied. You can have multiple fields show up in the same legend (they just have to come from the same "source"- single table or single view). So...there you go!
