Data modeller with excellent Semantic Design experience wanted.

Location: Toronto, Canada.

Salary: competitive for region/sector (permanent).


This core Business Intelligence Group have built an excellent reputation for the delivery of Enterprise Wide BI solutions and are seeking to expand their core offering with an individual who has built a strong career in the field of Data Modelling & Semantic design of complex data models.

Your core function will be to act as the subject matter expert for physical data model framework for both existing and new logical data model designs interacting with existing stakeholders that include technical specialists (BODS/ETL developers, datawarehouse architects etc) to offer more efficient and streamlined solutions to the business. 


Suitable candidates should thus demonstrate the following competencies:

  • An excellent track record in the Business Intelligence field covering expertise of looking at designing semantic layers (in Teradata).
  • Experience of physical data modelling for full BI lifecycle project implementations.
  • A strong cross-industry exposure from retail, manufacturing, infrastructure or large data-projects.
  • Evidence of understanding integration issues with the Physical data model and reporting cubes.
  • Ability to engage stakeholders at both technical and non-technical levels.
