Siebel ETL SAS Developer Needed: Charlotte, NC

Title: ETL Specialists Developer/AnalystLocation: CharlotteDuration: 12 monthsAvg hours/wk: 40Rate: Open (just tell me what your desired pay is, and if its reasonable, thats what rate we'll use!)MUST have 5 OUT OF 7:• Data Warehousing: Multi Terabyte data warehousing experience. Understanding the design considerations for star schemas and its relationships. Understanding the concept of data rollups/aggregation, capacity planning, data standardization, slowly changing dimensions, and data security.• SAS Maintenance and support: Ability to maintain and troubleshoot SAS processes. Solid understanding of the SAS data set and library structures. Good understand of Data files manipulation in a SAS environment (recoding. Reorganization, summarization, etc.).• Informatica (version 6 and up): Multiple project experience with Informatica. Ability to communicate design considerations using this tool. Practical experience in loading data, troubleshooting mappings, tuning mappings, etc. Informatica 7.1 is preferable.• Oracle (version 9i/10g): Multi-terabyte data experience with Oracle 8/9i/10g, demonstrates the basic ability/understanding to design data structures, performance tune data loads and ability to read/write PL/SQL.• Siebel EIM: Ability to create and modify Siebel EIM IFB files. Knowledge of mapping EIM tables to Siebel base tables. Ability to troubleshoot EIM loads. Knowledge of Siebel visibility and list of value design considerations.• UNIX: Proven experience with reading and writing Shell Scripts (ksh). Ability to navigate, edit/find files, check disk space and transfer files. Knowledge of performance monitoring tools in the UNIX environment. • Communication skills: Must have the ability to communicate effectively with business and technical users in both an oral and written manner. Must also be able to demonstrate ability to troubleshoot technology and business problems. Provide insight based on previous experience. Must work well independently and in a team environmentPlus Skills/Experience include:• Siebel OLAP: Working knowledge of the Siebel Data Warehouse: Key generation, WIDS, Slowly changing dimensions, basic table sources, etc. Concrete familiarity with OLTP-to-OLAP. Proven experience with EIM Loads.• Siebel Analytics: Use of the Siebel Analytics tool. Ability to discuss the architectural components of the tool (Security, aggregation, Logical columns, etc). Demonstrated knowledge of migration techniques of reports and repository.• Operating Systems: Unix AIX 5.1/5.2, Windows 2K, MVS/OS 390, AS400. Ability to navigate in these environments, ability to script technical solutions in each of these environments• Business: Demonstrated knowledge in the financial services arena focusing on Annuity Products, Mutual Funds, Brokerage, etc• Other Analytics Tools: Usage of Cognos, Business Objects, Microstrategy, Brio, Hyperion, Actuate or Crystal• Other ETL Tools: DecisionStream, ETI, Ab Initio, Data Stage• Other Databases: Teradata, DB2/UDB, ADABAS, MS SQL server• Other Siebel: Familiarity with some of the following applications: Siebel Call Center, eMail, other eMarketing, eEvents modules a plus. Knowledge in extending the Siebel schemas (OLTP & OLAP), eScriptResponsibilities include:• Support and small enhancement to existing SAS processes• Map and deploy Informatica mappings from various legacy source systems into Siebel• Develop and execute test and implementation plans• Identify areas for Informatica and Oracle improvements – process / technology as related to ETL jobs• Develop and execute EIM processesIf you're interested in this job please give me a call @ 847-874-7153 or email me with your resume -
