Timestamp Error - Code:6760 Topic by syakram1 13 Apr 2016 #TPT #Informatica

Hi
We are using Informatica to load Teradata table from Oracle.
With normal mapping the data is getting loaded in table but the data load speed is very slow.
So are using TPT via Inofrmatica, but getting error for timestamp.
In Oracle the column data type is DATE and in TD it is TIMESTAMP(0).

Could anyone help on this please.
Thanks in advance.

Error 2616 while doing an insert Topic by anithin1 04 Apr 2016 #database #teradata #sql, numeric overflow occurred during computation, #Error 2616

Hello,

I am recently running into the 2616 error (Numeric overflow during computation). This happens only when i try to do an insert - Select into a table. If i run it as a stand alone select, it works fine. What's more confusing is, the insert-select is scheduled to run on a daily basis and has been running fine, but over the last few days i am running into this.

Performance of Global temp tables vs permanent tables? Topic by Charger 02 Apr 2012

Can anyone please point out the performance benefits(if any) of using GTTs over permanent tables  ?

I have a big script that uses many GTTs.

I plan to replace the GTTs with permanent tables, to save data and time , if it fails after many hrs of processing.

I would like to know if GTTs perform better compared to permanent tables. If yes, in what way ?

Using Error in BTEQ Topic by newb1 29 Mar 2016 #BTEQ

Hi ,
I am not strong on BTEQ and I need help on what can be achieved with ‘.Error’.
I have to insert into a 60 row table a lot of non validated data (about 1 million rows). Every so often (twice a month) the script falls over because it comes to a record where a field is the wrong data type for its table (ie trying to insert ‘abc’ into a numeric data type field).
