VMWare Teradata 14.00 - Error while loading data into table

I am using VMWare Teradata 14.00 - 4 GB to test out certain functionality.
While loading a file into a database table, i am getting following error.

TPT_INFRA: TPT05004: CLI error 224 in connecting session (function ConnectSession).

MTDP: EM_NOHOST(224): name not in HOSTS file or names database.

TDLOAD: TPT05535: Error: Failed to determine the optimal load protocol for the load job.

Command used is

TDExpress14.0_Sles10:~ # /opt/teradata/client/14.00/tbuild/bin/tdload -f /root/Desktop/test.txt -u vmtest -p vmtest -t testdata

Hi,
Can you please confirm you are trying to connect from your host machine OR you are runnning this command iside VMWARE?
This error means that the TPT is unable to find the server. You need to make an entry into the host file, after that Try to ping the IP address of the VMMachine.

Hello,
I am running this command from inside the VMWare.

Thanks. Now the problem got resolved. No change in host file is required if running from within vmware.
I missed out the -h parameter while invoking the tdload command. The tdload command is
tdload -f filename -u username -p password -h hostname -t tablename
One can refer the following url for further information.
