Read Timezone Without ':' Character

Hi,

I have a source data column that has a timestamp with timezone in the below format:
Mon, 5 Mar 2015 08:23:00 -0800 (PST)
I am trying to cast this as timestamp(0) with timezone FORMAT 'DD-MMM-YYYYBHH:MI:SSBB.S(F)Z'.
However this does not work because there is no ':' in the timezone. Is there a format specifier for timezone I can use to directly read this? I am keeping using a string manipulation to add a ':' to the data as the second option only if there is no format specifier to recognize timezone in the given format.
Appreciate your input.

Thanks
Suma

Hi.
You'll have to process the string to get a readable Teradata format (the day of month must be two digits too).
BTW: 5 Mar 2015 was not Monday.
HTH.
Cheers.
Carlos.
