Privacy Enabled Data Compression

What is the Privacy Enabled Data Compression feature in Teradata?
How can we protect personally identifiable information from users, including
DBA using this feature?
Any example..

Thanks,
Kishore

I assume you meant to ask about encryption, not compression.

Compression is intended to reduce space usage but does not provide privacy protection. Encryption is used to protect privacy or to implement
access controls; the encrypted data usually consumes more space than the original.

Column level encryption is provided by an external vendor, Protegrity. See their website, http://protegrity.com, for more information.
