identity column reached its maximum limit

Dear All,We have a table where the primary key has been defined as INTEGER Generated By Default AS Identity. The table till now is having 60 rows only, but recently when I tried to insert a row (not providing the value for the identity column) , it returned with an error saying that the maximum limit has been reached. The column has its maxValue set to 1000000. Why is this problem coming and how to proceed towards its resolution ? Many thanks in advance !!Regards.

You better use DECIMAL because of the distribution/amp nature of TD's implementation for IDENTITY. Please see this for more details:http://www.teradata.com/teradataForum/shwmessage.aspx?forumid=9&messageid=2155
