User SQL Server 2008 to connect to Teradata

User SQL Server 2008 to connect to Teradata

Can anyone help me on how to do this? I am using Teradata Version : 13.0.0.13 / Provider Version : ODBC 13.00.00.05 / Database Version : Teradata 13.00.0013 13.00.00.13.

How might I use SQL Server 2008 with it. Do I need to make a Linked Server, and if so how might I do that for ODBC?

Thank you all so much.

SQL Server Linked Server utilizes OLE DB Providers to access external Data Sources; but it supports/works with Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms188279.aspx). Therefore you can use Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC + ODBC Driver for Teradata.
