.Net Data Provider for Tearadata

Seen as ODBC is slower than an afternoon with the IRS, can anyone confirm that the .NET Provider for Teradata is only compatible with Visual Studio 2005?I'm running 2003 V7.0 and could not load the components.

For those of you using Visual Studio 2003 and don't fancy wasting an entire day.The .NET Data Provider for Teradata only integrates with Visual Studio 2005!Not a note of that anywhere though :-( Hope this helps some of you.

.NET Data Provider for Teradata system requirements states "Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0". You can use any tool/IDE as long it can load .NET Framework 2.0 assemblies and generate assemblies for .NET Framework 2.0. Microsoft released .NET Framework 2.0 with Visual Studio 2005. Microsoft did not fix/patch Visual Studio 2003 to be comptaible with the .NET Framework 2.0. However, Microsoft did release a free version of Visual Studio 2005 called the Visual Studio 2005 Express (http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/express/) . Given the .NET Framework 2.0 requirements, .NET Data Provider for Teradata cannot be integrated with Visual Studio 2003 IDE. Hope this helps,
