DataStage Teradata Parameters

We are upgrading from Teradata 12 to Teradata 14, and DataStage 7.5.2 to DataStage 9.1
Existing Teradata DataStage stages will not be converted.  The following parameters are used to read and write from Teradata.

Parameters to read From Teradata 14
  RequestedSessions
  SessionsPerPlayer

Parameters to write to TeraData 14 using MLOAD
  TENACITY
  SLEEP
  SESS_MIN
  SESS_MAX
  STRT_ROW
  END_ROW
  CHK_POINT
  ERR_LIMIT

Is there any Teredata documentation/guidance on how to optimize the parameters listed above?

Since you are upgrading utility session management changed in version 13.10 which should be considered in relationship to your Datastage settings.

The parameters really depend.
Tenacity is the number of hours a job will retry.
Sleep is how long in minutes between retries.
Sesion Min and Max should be self explanatory in the context of the new session managment. You can ignore these.
END_ROW and START_ROW should be left at the default unless you desire to run in sequential mode.
CHK_POINT is about restartability. The larger the value the more records that must be reprocessed if a job fails.
ERR_LIMIT The default of 0 does not limit errors. Set it to 1 if you don't expect any errors.
I hope this helps. The best thing for you to do is to ask your official Teradata contact to find you someone in the DI COE to speak to. Maybe your Solution Architect or AE can work something out for a Best Practices presentation.
