Hi,what do you mean by "share the amps across different platforms"?Different hardware generations, e.g. 5400 and 5450 within a system?Mixing OSes, Windows and Unix, within a system?Nodes within a clique?Dieter

Thanks! Its like, let me consider 2 amps A1,A2 on node N1 working on windows. Two more amps A3 and A4 on node N2 working on Unix.So now if I want to share the data on A4 and insert to the tables residing on A1 or A2.How this can be done?May be by combing nodes as a Clique i suppose. Is that possible if so how its is done?.Please let me know about it.

Within a single Teradata system, all database nodes have the same OS. And all user tables are hash-distributed across all the AMPs. Teradata does not directly support a query running on one system but accessing data that resides on a totally separate system.
