Teradata Studio Express provides an information discovery tool that retrieves data from  Aster, Teradata, and Hadoop Database systems and allows the data to be manipulated and stored on the desktop. The Teradata Profiler Plug-in is based on the Eclipse plug-in framework and the Teradata Plug-in for Eclipse and Teradata Studio Data Source Explorer (DSE). Teradata Profiler Plug-in enables the user to Profile Teradata and Aster tables/columns via the DSE as well as create projects containing analyses. The descriptive statistics available with the Teradata Profiler Plug-in provide a variety of functions to statistically analyze and explore data tables in a Teradata or Aster database. This is a complete version of the Teradata Profiler for Eclipse, without an evaluation time limit, however, it is limited in use to up to 40 GB of "connected" data. (Note that the validation of the 40 GB limit for the Express Edition requires SELECT access to the dbc.allspace view in Teradata or EXECUTE permission on the nc_relationstats SQL-MR function in Aster for the user.)

The Teradata Plug-in for Eclipse is based on the Eclipse plug-in framework and Data Tools Platform (DTP). Teradata Plug-in for Eclipse enables Eclipse DTP to operate with the Teradata Database and value-added features.

We are in process of creating a Java user defined Function and in order to achieve that  we have deployed the JAR File in the database and

 creating a function/procedure on the top of it  using the below two approaches :

 

There appears to be a problem with the plugin for Eclipse when attempting any of the following:
-Creating a SQL Editor. So for example, right-click on an object and generate DDL.
-Creating a Teradata Project

Hi,
In SQL Assistant it is possible to run multiple queries in parallel (after setting some of the settings correct). I prefer to use Teradata Studio, the eclipse plugin, but couldn't find a setting to do so. Is it possible anyway to run multiple queries in parallel? I now have to wait for my queries to finish before I can continue.

Teradata Studio's Copy Object Wizard allows users to copy objects by simply dragging the object from the Data Source Explorer tree and dropping it into the destination node in the Transfer View tree. Often users have created objects in their test database and wish to copy it to production, or copy objects from production into their test data lab environment. Database objects can be copied within the same database server or to a different database server. You can copy more than one object at a time by selecting multiple objects from the Data Source Explorer and dragging them to the Transfer View tree. Due to the external code location, External Stored Procedures and User Defined Functions can not be copied.

The Copy Object Wizard also allows you to filter out columns or column data when copying tables. You can also copy table data to an existing table, providing a map of source columns to destination columns.

I can see the system loaded as that defined in mds when we use the Test user button. but upon checking for interdependence on object we get the following error
com.teradata.datatools.dependencies.TeradataInterdependenciesException: Could not log on user

i have a problem with the Code Assist in Eclipse and Teradata Studio Express. 

An integrated development environment is crucial to software developers for editing, building and debugging their program all within one environment. Therefore, setting up the right development environment is an important first task.

Teradata Studio is built on the Eclipse® Rich Client Platform (RCP), taking advantage of the RCP framework for building and deploying native GUI applications. It extends the Eclipse Data Tools Platform (DTP) to enhance Teradata Database access. Teradata Studio can be run on Windows, Linux, and Mac OSX operating systems. The Eclipse platform is designed as an open tools platform but architected so that its components (or a subset of its components) can be used to build RCP applications. iBatis and MyBatis support custom types to override JDBC and other types when using the iBatis or MyBatis frameworks. A custom data type gives you the ability to deal with any kind of special input and output handling you may need for a database data type. For example, a User Defined Type (UDT)  that represents a point would require an X and Y Position to be entered for input and an X and Y position to be retrieved from the database. The custom data type gives you a clearly defined programmatic mechanism to do this.

iBatis is now called MyBatis (iBatis 3.0). MyBatis is no longer sponsored by Apache. It is now supported on Google code. The MyBatis framework is a lightweight data mapping framework and persistence API. It couples objects with stored procedures or SQL statements using an XML descriptor.  The Teradata Plug-in for Eclipse allows you to switch between creating projects that use MyBatis or iBatis using the Teradata Project preferences. When you switch to use MyBatis, you can use new features like User Generated Keys.

User Generated Keys are unique identifiers returned from MyBatis during an insert operation. This tutorial will go through creating a Web service using user generated keys with MyBatis.

The iBatis Stored Procedure Wizard wraps a Stored Procedure into an iBatis or MyBatis SQL Map. The generated SQL map can then be used to create a Web service or it can be used to create a Java application that uses the iBatis or MyBatis frame works.

CRUD is defined as the following functions of persistent storage:

  • Create — Insert a row into a Database Table
