I wrote a Java stored procedure, packed it into a jar and installed it into the Teradata database. I want to use the default database connection as described here [1]. Most of the code was generated by the Teradata wizard for stored procedures.

Hi,
I have TD Studio 15.10, TD DB 15.0, HDP 2.0 and Aster 6.0. They are all connected well in TD Studio and I can see the tables.
I'm doing some tests on Aster based on a HDP table but when I execute the query:

SELECT * FROM load_from_hcatalog
(USING server('192.168.100.131')
port('9083')
username('root')

Today's analytic environments incorporate multiple technologies and systems. Getting value from these systems often requires that they work together to address business needs.

Hello All,

I am currently in the process of developing a complete end-end solution that will migrate objects/data from Teradata to Hadoop and vise versa.

When researched, i got the articles on TERADATA CONNECTORS FOR HADOOP (COMMAND LINE INTERFACE) and their respective  tutorial document.

Hi all,
   I need to get data from users from a webpage (jsp) and connect to a teradata database and load them into the tables in the database. I am using jsp to create the webpage. Is it possible to directly connect to the teradata database by scripting in jsp?. If so, some guidance will be appreciated. Thank you

Hello,

I am trying to install Teradata .Net driver for Windows 14.00.00.01 and when I run the installaton EXE file, I am getting this following error :

I'm looking at the Teradata Appliance for SAS High Performance Analytics, which I see is connected directly to the BYNET. Is it possible to connect other non-Teradata servers to the BYNET for connectivity, or is this specific to Teradata appliances?

Hi,

I have tried using the same creditials as used in the Gnome Terminal for bteq which is :

Hi
We currently use Teradata version 13 and have no issues connecting to Unica version 6 via ODBC connection.

While trying to set-up Oracle Transparent Gateway on redhat Linux 6.4(64 bit system), we are getting the following error.
ORA-28500: connection from ORACLE to a non-Oracle system returned this message: [DataDirect][ODBC lib] Specified driver could not be loaded {IM003} ORA-02063: preceding 2 lines from TERADATA

Hello All,
I have created a dummy table and inserted one record in that table. When i simply select that record it gives me unwanted leading space in the answer set.

CREATE TABLE dummy (a INTEGER);

INSERT INTO dummy VALUES (986);

SELECT '(' || TO_CHAR(a+1) || ')' FROM dummy;

Hi there. My organisation is just beginning with Teradata development, and I'm wondering which connectivity option (.NET Provider, ODBC etc) we should use. We develop against version 4 of the .NET framework using Visual Studio 2010 and 2012. Could anyone recommend one connectivity option over the others, or perhaps list the pros and cons of each?

Hi,

I did install Teradata 13.0 drivers on 64 windows setup.

I got below DLL's in location

C:\Program Files\Teradata\Client\13.0\Teradata Parallel Transporter\bin64

loadop.dll

pxicu.dll

exportop.dll

opcommon.dll

streamop.dll

telapi.dll

telapi.lib

updateop.dll

Connecting to Terdata though this tool is taking a LONG time.  I think it may be because it is downloading tons of Schema information... the progress tells me "Loading Core provider".  Is this step taken everytime or is it a one time deal?

Hoping I have a tool that will be easier than using VMWARE to get to SQL Assistant.
