Details

The Teradata SQL Driver for R enables R applications to connect to the Teradata database.

We recommend that you follow the Installation instructions listed on the driver GitHub page.

If the recommended installation procedure is not possible for you, then follow these manual installation steps:

Ensure that all required packages (bit64, crfsuite, DBI, digest, hms, and Rcpp) are already installed into your R environment.
Download the .tar.gz file from the link above.
In your command prompt or shell, run R CMD INSTALL targzFileName

Download Teradata Vantage Express, a free, fully-functional Teradata Vantage database, that can be up and running on your system in minutes. Please download and read the user guide for installation instructions.

Note that in order to run this VM, you'll need to install VMware Workstation Player, VMware Fusion, VMware Server, VirtualBox, or UTM on your system. For more details, see our getting started guides.
